The Uniform Law Commission (ULC, also known as the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws), established in 1892, provides states with non-partisan, well-conceived and well-drafted legislation that brings clarity and stability to critical areas of state statutory law.
I have been pleased to participate with five ULC committees: (1) study and drafting committees on the Uniform Determination of Death Act, (2) study and drafting committees on the Uniform Health Care Decisions Act, and (3) Study Committee on Post-Mortem Retrieval of Gametes, Safeguards for the Acquisition and Use of Anatomical Material by Non-Transplant Anatomical Organizations, and Protections for Unrepresented Donors.
